Hildale Public Meeting Protocols – COVID19

Residents of Hildale.

We apologize for the confusion which occurred at our Planning and Zoning Commission meeting last Thursday. A audio visual system upgrade has been in process for City Hall, but is not yet complete. As such, broadcasting the meeting was unavailable.

Additionally, the City is following State mandates concerning the wearing of masks and social distancing for indoor public meetings. Commission members, staff, and attendees are required to wear masks inside the building and socially distance.

We understand and respect individual opinions and decisions concerning masks and social distancings. However, as a public facility, we are required to enforce the mandate. Washington County is a “High Tranmission Level” area and masks are mandated, as follows: “Masks (to be) worn in public indoor settings, and outdoors when physical distancing is not feasible; this includes both employees and patrons”.

We ask for your patience and support as we work through these issues.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 6:30pm. We anticipate the broadcast issues will be resolved and broadcast information will be included in the new agenda posting.

If you choose to attend in person, please understand you cannot attend if you do not abide by the mask mandate.

Thank you for your continued support.
