Pursuant to UCA § 52-4-202 notice is hereby given to the members of the Hildale City Council, Hildale/Colorado City Utility Board and Hildale City Planning and Zoning Commission and to the general public that the members of the Hildale City Council, Hildale/Colorado City Utility Board and Hildale City Planning and Zoning Commission may be attending a one hour training on the policies, procedures and ordinance changes adopted to implement the court injunction covering Hildale and Colorado City.

JOB City Treasurer/Utility Billing Clerk

NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Utility Department of Hildale-Colorado City

 

 

POSITION:           CITY TREASURER/UTILITY BILLING CLERK

 

INITIAL PAY RATE:      $35,000 to $40,000 ($16.83/hour to $19.23/hour) depending on education and experience. Starting salary for a qualified candidate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting: $45,000 to $50,000.

 

BENEFITS:                   Sick leave, health insurance, paid vacation, and retirement.

 

JOB DUTIES:               The Utility Billing Clerk/ City Treasurer will work under the direct supervision of the Utility Director, and is primarily responsible for utility billing, account reconciliation, customer account resolution. They will also be responsible for reviewing payments, transfers and other accounting functions for both the City of Hildale and the Utility Department. They will generate reports and provide recommendations for increasing business efficiency and financial strength.

 

They may also be required to conduct other office functions and administrative tasks as assigned by the Utility Director and the Hildale City Manager, and perform supervisory functions as directed.

 

Required:                     Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must be a U.S. Citizen. Applicants must have a clean criminal record; Must have the ability to obtain a bookkeeping certificate within 18 months of being hired if the candidate doesn’t already possess one (bookkeeping certificate not required for those who possess at least an associate degree in accounting).

Preferred:                     Associates or bachelor’s in accounting, business, finance, or management. Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or banking. Experience as a municipal clerk will also be viewed favorably.
