Hildale City is seeking a qualified City Manager.

Hildale (pop. 2,900) is in a beautiful location on the Utah/Arizona border, near Zion National Park and numerous other outdoor recreation opportunities. Hildale City has a strong sense of community and a rich history. The City shares many operations with the Town of Colorado City, Arizona (pop 7,500). The annual budget is approximately $3.2M.

The City Manager is the chief administrative officer tasked with overseeing the operations of Hildale City, through its various department heads, and with advising and carrying out the policies and programs established by the City Council. This position involves significant interaction with the public, as well as the City Council and other public bodies. A bachelor’s degree in business management or public administration, or equivalent, and three to five years of progressively responsible experience in local government management are preferred. Strong preference for experience as a municipal manager. Master’s degree in related field desirable. Residency within the communities of Hildale City and Colorado City is encouraged, but not required.

This position is full time and occasionally requires work on evenings and weekends. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000, depending upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Benefits include health insurance, take-home vehicle, and phone stipend.
